Use this checklist before sending production RoadOps webhook traffic to your receiver.

Receiver checklist

  • Verify the signature against the unmodified raw body before parsing.
  • Persist the payload id before acknowledging it.
  • Queue work locally and respond quickly with 2xx.
  • Make processing idempotent and tolerate out-of-order events.
  • Alert on repeated non-2xx responses, especially 410 and 429.
  • Refetch resource.url when your workflow needs the newest record.
